Introducing our very first online matching campaign

“Don’t let Court cost little lives!”

A generous and tenderhearted precious couple has generously offered to fund a dollar-for-dollar matching donation campaign up to $10,000 and YOU can partner with us in a very real, David Vs. Goliath legal battle for the least of these! With rising court fees and a trial date that is nearly a year away, Hand of Hope needs your help to fight the City of Raleigh in our Federal court case.

Here’s the Background Story:

Hand of Hope has operated a second location at 1701 Jones Franklin Road in Raleigh, called “Your Choice Pregnancy Clinic” since September 2012. In December 2015, HOH purchased a residential property at 1522 Jones Franklin Road immediately beside a very popular abortion clinic. Our legal battle to make sure each little voice is heard, began in July 2016 when the Raleigh City Council denied our rezoning request of 1522 Jones Franklin Road. During the months long rezoning process, we received approval every step of the way. Even the Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of our application. The Planning Commission found that our proposal was reasonable, in the public interest, and compatible with the surrounding area. Sadly, however, in July 2016 the City Council chose to deny our rezoning request to offer our free and confidential services to women in the middle of making a pregnancy decision. After we sued, the City’s Zoning Administrator issued a formal decision to allow us to use the property after determining that our use was civic in nature. In February 2017, however, the City changed its position by saying we could have our pregnancy care center at the property but cannot provide free pregnancy tests or free ultrasounds. Since our mission is to be a voice for the voiceless, we will not rest until the City of Raleigh allows the young women who come to us, to see their babies. The ultrasound is the greatest way we have to accomplish our mission and to inform women about the life they have within them- even at just 4 weeks and 6 days into her pregnancy.

Hand of Hope has chosen to occupy 1522 Jones Franklin Road and offer all other resources and free Life Skills Programs as our federal case goes along. Our Grand Opening, originally scheduled for September 11th, 2017 has been postponed until further notice due to the possibilities inclimate weather from Hurricane Irma. We will continue to operate 1701 Jones Franklin Road where we can still provide free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds.

We take Christ’s charge of defending the least of these very seriously and we are committed to using your voice for the voiceless. Will YOU join us?

#StandForHope with us and let the City of Raleigh know that women should be allowed to see their babies and are entitled to all of these free help and information we provide.

We are depending on YOU to spread the word and to #StandForHope! This online campaign can only be reached with your help- there is no donation too small. Please like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram and Twitter for more info!
